History:
Remus John Lupin was born to Lyall Lupin and Hope Lupin Nee Howell on March 10th 1960 in Glencoe, Scotland. Remus's father, Lyall was a renowned and respected expert in Non-Human Spirituous Apparitions, whom worked for the Ministry of Magic, more specifically the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures. His father met his mother Hope Howell, a Muggle, while on the job. Remus's father had angered a dangerous werewolf named Fenrir Greyback during his work for the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures, and this caused Greyback to come to the Lupin household one night and attack it. Lyall managed to drive Greyback out of the house, but he failed to prevent Greyback from biting and turning Remus into a werewolf.

The family managed to get out of this incident with their lives, but at the same time they knew that their chance for a normal future had been destroyed. Lyall Lupin was terrified of what had happened, he knew that if the public found out about what happened to his son, there would be enormous prejudice and fear against his son. Lyall then decided to homeschool Remus, in fear that if he sent Remus to Hogwarts, his condition would be discovered. Remus was forbidden from interacting with other children by his parents, for fear of his condition being discovered and whenever people started to suspect what had happened to Remus, the family moved to another remote village.

Eventually the time came for Remus to attend Hogwarts, but his father refused to sent Remus to Hogwarts, due to his fears about Remus's condition. When Albus Dumbledore showed up at the Lupin household, the couple tried frantically to keep Dumbledore out of the place, but it was no use. Within five minutes, Dumbledore had found a way into the house and revealed he knew about Remus's condition. Dumbledore also assured the family that Remus would be allowed to be sent to Hogwart, and that special measures would be taken to conceal Remus's condition was a werewolf.

At Hogwart's, Remus was sorted into the Gryfindors and quickly became friends with James Potter, Sirius Black and Peter Pettigrew. The four of them formed the Maruaders and latter created an enchanted map of the castle, the Maruader's map. At first Remus tried concealing his condition from his friends, in fear that they would abandon him if they found out that he was a werewolf. Remus made all sorts of stories up to explain his monthly disappearances, but eventually his friends found out about his condition and instead of abandoning him decided to illegally become Animagus to accompany Remus whenever he turned into a wolf. Remus did very well in Hogwarts, and was well liked by the teachers. He was latter made a prefect.

When the war with Voldemort broke out, Remus joined the Order of the Phoenix with his fellow Marauders. Remus fought in the war against Voldemort, and when the war ended, he went into seclusion. Remus had lost those whom he considered closest to him, in his mind two were dead, and one had turned traitor. Remus did not realize that Pettigrew was the traitor and that Sirius had been framed for betraying the Potters.

Remus is now teaching Defense Against the Dark Arts at Hogwarts. He replaced Gildroy Lockhart after Lockhart was revealed to be a fraud. Remus has been working for two years, but was nearly forced out of the position when his identity as a werewolf was nearly leaked to the public. Remus is fairly popular among the students of Hogwarts.
